Online English classes on Fluent Waves are conducted through
video conferencing tools on the platform’s built-in virtual
classroom. Classes are one-on-one, and lessons include
speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities.
No! Fluent waves accept students of all levels, from
beginners to advanced learners.
Prices vary depending on the platform, teacher
qualifications, and lesson type. Costs range from €15 per
hour. At Fluent Waves we offer subscription plans & package
deals.
Fluency depends on your starting level, learning
consistency, and practice. On average, it takes 6 months to
2 years of regular lessons and practice to achieve
conversational fluency.
Fluent Waves allow you to reschedule or cancel a lesson. We
do require at least 24-hour notice.
Your tutor Joan uses simple language, visual aids, and
interactive methods to help students understand. If you
still struggle, you can request a slower teaching pace.
Generally, you need a stable internet connection, a computer
or smartphone, a microphone, and a webcam. Some lessons may
require a notebook, but here at Fluent Waves your tutor will
type out all of your errors or mistakes during the lesson.
Practice daily by watching language movies, reading books,
listening to podcasts, and speaking with native speakers.
Yes! Many platforms offer one-on-one lessons, so you can
learn at your own pace in a comfortable environment. Joan is
trained to help shy learners build confidence step by step.
Progress takes time, but if you feel stuck, try changing
your study methods, increasing practice time. Setting clear
goals and tracking progress can also help you stay
motivated.
Once you have a class booked you will recieve intstructions in an email. In the email we will clarify the time of
the class and that all you need to do is login to Fluent Waves website, click on the classroom in the menu at the
top of the home page, scroll down to the name box, either leave blank or enter your name, then click continue, you will
then be prompted to allow access to microphone and camera, you then click on the knock button and the tutor will let
you in once the class time has begun. In the class click on the three dots of any of the video frames and you can maximise
that frame or make it fullscreen. You also have the option to make the classroom fullscreen by clicking on the expand
button above the classroom, if you wish to exit the fullscreen simply hit the 'esc' button on your keyboard. There is
